These are the nicest people in the world. It all started with their oldest daughter, she is amazing dancer and a wonderful person. I photographed her senior pictures. Since then I've had the privilege of photographing their son and family. They are always ready for unique settings. They are super creative and fun to be with. They want exactly what we do, not the standard.

Well, it's the season of workshops and conventions and I'll be on the road quite a bit while I teach three workshops to professional photographers in the next month.
The first one is this Monday, March 16th, in Fargo, ND at Northwest Professional Color. This workshop will be on Adobe Lightroom.
The second is on Monday, April 13th in Cameron, WI for the Indianhead PPA. This workshop will be "Creating a 'portrait'...what does that really mean?"
The third is on Tuesday, April 21st in Brainerd, MN at the Northern Lights PPA Regional Convention. this program will be "Flatline?...or do you have a PEOPLE PULSE?"
I hope to have a fantastic time with all of you attendees!!!
I was working around our home on a Friday when my 6 year old daughter Kira came up and said "I was wrestling with Carver and he kicked me.....now my teeth are loose". In fact both her front teeth were loose. I think they had been going that direction for a while....as corn on the cob was giving her trouble just that week....so I don't think they were actually kicked out by her 3 year old brother. But anyway, we re-arranged weekend plans because my wife had said that she wanted a family portrait before Kira lost her front teeth and now we had no time to lose. Well, the family portrait was a success that Saturday and in fact, Kira lost 1 of her front teeth that Sunday. So what does that have to do with this portrait...where you obviously don't see Kira's face let alone her teeth? Well, on the way back from the Willow River water falls where we did our family portrait, the kids were walking ahead of us and I made this image. It's one of my favorites from the session!
Here is a session with 5 new baby chicks. What a blast to photograph!! Melissa and her children had just gotten the chicks recently which we photographed. We've created an entire wall collection of portraits for her kitchen. Here is one of the images and I'll be including a link as soon as we have more images loaded into a gallery to see the rest of the collection. Enjoy!
