Whether you have one or a dozen, I'll get to know your children and ensure that their session is fun, creative, and energetic.

First call me to have a pre-session phone consultation and we'll explore what you love about your children. What tells the most about your child's personality? When you close your eyes, what do you see in your child? If possible, describe your child in just one or two words. That's a great way to begin exploring what you would love to have captured about your child or children. We'll also discuss clothing and meaningful toys or personal items to include in the images.

Then, I'll help you choose from many in-studio and on-location settings in Stillwater, MN, Hudson, WI and the surrounding area. We'll talk about making images at your home or family land, or other placees that you love, like a parks, the river, a lake, downtown, favorite landmarks, etc., to best show your child or children in their natural environment.

I'm genuinely interested in photographing children with special needs and I take take extensive time with them and care for them on a personal level.

As a father of two, I'm familiar with both children's and parent's needs, so I schedule enough time (at least 2 hours) to allow for breaks and play time to create the most meaningful and creative experience. I've worked extensively with both newborns, as well as children born prematurely.

After I've created your images, I schedule an order session with you in our viewing room - normally within a week of the session. These sessions usually last 1 1/2 hours, so I recommend that you arrange a sitter for small children. Since I create more variety than most studios, I don't use old fashioned paper proofs. You'll see your images on a 50 inch plasma, where I can help you sort through and decide your favorites with the most creativity and flexibility. I'll crop, rotate, change to B&W, or show you the exact size any image will look like from a wallet to a wall portrait. I can even show you what your image looks like on your own wall at home. After the order session, I load your images into a private, on-line gallery so you can show your friends and family your favorites. Of course, I always have chocolate, snacks, and drinks available during these sessions.

Collection Albums are a signature of mine. Children are perfect subjects for this type of storytelling. These albums collect all of your favorite images from the entire session into one awesome, custom, graphically designed album!We also create duplicate albums for parents, grandparents, friends or other relatives, at an amazing price!

Artpieces are another family favorite. These are wall portraits where I creatively combine 3-7 images into one amazing work of art.

A portrait isn't finished until it's framed. that's why I do very creative, custom framing right here in our studio, and I offer a lifetime guarantee on any portrait that I frame.
